Transcribe a recording
Play a recording in another tab, from YouTube or any player, and share that tab: Transcribe listens to it as to a live broadcast, so an hour of recording takes an hour. Then save the transcript to My transcripts under its speaker. The times on this page are when this browser heard each part, not times in the recording.
Have a YouTube link?
Getting its transcript from NoteGPT is faster than transcribing the video here.
Get the transcript on NoteGPT- Paste the video’s link on NoteGPT and download the transcript as .srt, .vtt or .txt.
- On My transcripts, press + Add transcript, then Files, and pick that file.
- Choose the speaker, and keep only their part with Keep from the words and To the words.
NoteGPT is a third-party site, not affiliated with this one, and its free plan has limits. Its text has no speaker names, so it suits rallies and speeches; for an interview or a Q&A, transcribe the recording here with Separate speakers.
The recording
It counts in the My columns of this speaker's events on and after the date of the recording.
Your Deepgram key
Transcribe sends the sound of the recording from this browser straight to Deepgram, a speech-to-text service, on your own key. The key, the sound and the text go only between this browser and Deepgram: our server never sees them.

Cost: an hour of recording costs about $0.46 at Deepgram's list price ($0.0077 a minute), plus about $0.12 with Separate speakers. Prices checked Oct 30, 2026.

Deepgram numbers the voices, and you mark who is who under the text. About $0.002 a minute more ($0.12 an hour), on your Deepgram key.
